Pinning and Taxidermy

Praying mantis pinning has, surprisingly, become one of my favorite aspects of the mantis keeping hobby. I’m clumsy, so learning how to work very tediously on delicate insect exoskeletons has really afforded me an opportunity to test my patience, fine motor skills, and perseverance. What a pleasure it is to raise a mantis from hatchling to old age and then find an avenue to preserve and appreciate these magnificent creatures. Enjoy the pictures of my journey through this rewarding experience. Sometimes I sell my work so check the store for any availabilities. Lastly, I never offer pinned mantises that were collected and killed specifically for the purpose of pinning/preserving. All my pinned insects were pets, breeders, observational specimens, educational ambassadors, etc.
