Teaching younger generations to admire and appreciate biodiversity is key in building support for conservation efforts. With so many animal species facing extinction due to human activity, it is imperative that we educate on the importance of preserving the Earth’s biodiversity; and I can’t think of a bug more suited to help with this goal than the praying mantis!
Mantis keeping also provides an opportunity for youth to learn how to care for living creatures and be attuned to the ebb and flow of insect life cycles, growth, and care. Don’t miss out on this profound learning experience!
